It seems like a lifetime ago, but I remember when we started DANIMA, I was out at every networking event in the Region. Whether it was a morning breakfast networking group or a small business event in the evening, I was there with cards in-hand and a memorized 30 second info-mercial in-case I had to stand up and talk about the business. Fast-forward 15 years. It’s called Social Networking, and much like that “internet-thing” that we also balked at in it’s infancy, Facebook, Twitter, and their Social Networking counterparts are here to stay. But instead of looking at them like the beast with 8-heads or those “silly, time-wasting fads”, it’s time you realize just how important they are to you and your business.

Just last week I received 2 jobs and 4 inquiries thanks to a few photos of client work that I posted in our businesses’ fan page. Those posts took 5 minutes of my time and now we may have 2 new long-term relationships with businesses that we probably wouldn’t have had an opportunity to network with had it not been for a Facebook post and a Tweet.
