...to the Light of Day Niagara 2!!! That's right, in less than 3 weeks (Friday, November 14, 2008), DANIMA - Minervini Productions will be presenting a concert to benefit Parkinson's and ALS. It will be held at the Greg Frewin Theatre in Niagara Falls and will start at 7:30 pm with doors opening at 6:00 pm.
Tickets are only $25 or a booth of 5 for $100 at www.lightofdayniagara.com/tickets, at www.gregfrewintheatre.com/ticket_info.html , or by phone at 905-357-4977. Remember all ticket sales go directly to Parkinson’s and ALS and the Light of Day Foundation.
Why did we get involved? First and foremost because we care! I had a grandfather pass away with Parkinson's and saw how it can take a strong, energetic inidividual and trap them inside their own body. In Niagara there have been a couple of young people afflicted with ALS and this is the reason we added ALS as the 2nd cause. Those who know myself and Mike Minervini, know that our love for the Jersey Shore music scene is one of the main reasons we event tried tackling this project. As well, DANIMA does the official web site for Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers (www.joegrushecky.com). So, these factors obviously played a part in why we got involved.
As John Mellencamp says "you gotta stand for something or you're gonna fall for anything". Nick and I believe, not only do we want DANIMA to stand for something, but we want to give back. So, much is given to us in this business and we feel it is only right to give something back. So, this is our main cause. This is where we put a lot of volunteer hours and a lot of extra money...both personally and as a business.
We hope you can come out to support these great causes and to see some fantastic music performed by local and international artists. You'll be glad you did!
