Last year, DANIMA embarked on a side-bar project that involved promoting a concert. Originally the idea of bringing some of our favorite Jersey musicians into Niagara was very appealing. C'mon, if you know me, how can you not think I'd want to hang for a bit with guys that have shared the stage and are good friends with The Boss. But something funny happened as DANIMA jumped knee deep into the promotion and organization of the Light of Day Niagara Concert to benefit Parkinson's Disease and ALS. All of a sudden it wasn't about meeting some of our musical idols, but it became a desire to aid 2 great causes.
When all was said and done, and the Light of Day Niagara show was over, it felt great to send a check off to Parkinson's Society of Canada, ALS and the Light of Day Foundation. And now, a few months later DANIMA is proud to announce that we will be heading up the Light of Day Niagara 2 Benefit Concert, along with Mike Minervini and a LOD committee made up of individuals from the Niagara Region.
One key change will be the addition of a Light of Day Summer Concert Series. This series will include concerts by Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers, Joe D'Urso and Stone Caravan and bluesman Ron LaSalle! - see www.lightofdayniagara.com/concertseries.
If you didn't get out to the show last year make sure you go to your Outlook and/or Blackberry calendars and mark in Saturday, November 15, 2008 for the Light of Day Niagara 2 Benefit Concert for Parkinson's and ALS. It was a great show last year, it will be a better show this year!! |

Hope to see you at Yanks for our "Big Band, Small Bar", Light of Day Summer Concert Series, as well. Donations will be taken for the Light of Day Foundation at all shows. Tickets will be sold on-line at www.lightofdayniagara.com, Yanks Old Niagara and at DANIMA Technologies Inc. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door for the 4 Yanks shows. Only 100 tix will be available.
