| A Suuuuuuuper Game |

It's the Monday after Super Sunday. Many of us had a few beverages yesterday, a bit too much chili and pizza, and were probably up a bit later than a regular Sunday evening...so, we may just be getting out of that morning haze (just in time for lunch). And for those big football fans, you may have spent the entire morning talking to colleagues about that amazing Giant victory against the team everyone thought was unbeatable - the New England Patriots. What a game...maybe the best Super Bowl I have ever seen.
If I were to somehow tie the football game into a business topic to make this less of a personal blog and more of a DANIMA blog I would say that the New York Giants showed us all that, if you believe in yourself, your team or your business, anything can happen...good things WILL happen. Oh yeah, and even the little guy can rise up against the big guys and compete. To me, that is the biggest point, since many of us are small business owners who tend to have to compete against the big conglomerates on a day-to-day basis. Perseverance, a great work ethic and belief in yourself, these things can take you and your business to the pinnacle of your industry. The rest of the world doesn't have to believe (who really thought the Giants would be World Champs...especially 4 or 5 weeks ago and that Eli Manning would lead them to the promised land)? Not many people...maybe just the Giants themselves as Mr. Strahan mentioned about 10 times in his post-game interview. I feel that way sometimes...don't you? And that's what motivates me to get up every day and keeps pushing me to compete in our industry. Datta-boy Eli...you won one for the little guy!! |

Well...I could go on...but your coffee's getting cold and we got work to do! We have to pursue our own Super Bowls! Speaking of which, this Sunday is the Super Bowl of Rock and Roll - The Grammy's - and Mr. Springsteen is up for a couple of awards! Go Bruuuuuce.
...back to work...I'm out! |
