| What happened to August? |
|
| September 11, 2007 |

First of all, I'd like to pay my respects to the families who lost loved ones 6 years ago in the tragic events in NYC. Our thoughts and prayers are still with you.
Which leads me back to "what happened to August?" It's September...actually, we are now 11 days into September. I haven't got a clue where the summer went. I remember waiting for it, anticipating its arrival...next thing I know it's gone. Hmmm!
Well, with the end of summer comes NFL Football! So, at least there is a small consolation. September also acts as a "new year" for businesses. Vacations are over and everyone is revitalized and ready to take on exciting, new projects. No more excuses! No more blaming missed deadlines on staff being away. Darn!
It's been a very busy summer here at DANIMA...and by the sounds of everybody else I know, it was busy for everyone. The term "down-time" doesn't seem to apply these days. Oh, I remember the old days when summer was for catching up, cleaning up and getting ready for September. Now that's what evenings and weekends are for...lol! It's all good. As long as we are all working, right?!
DANIMA grew a bit over the summer with the addition of Ryan Wittenburg, programmer extraodinaire from Kingston ON. And we are about to grow a bit more with the addition of old friend and an important part of DANIMA's early years, Mr. Alex Erazo. Together with Aqeel the Magnificent and Leigh-Ann our talented designer and SEO specialist...DANIMA has put together a great team that will help us provide much better customer service to existing clients and get better at meeting deadlines (yeah, I know...I know...it hasn't been our specialty over the last while). So, look for great things over the next year. We're growing up (well, we're growing). |

So, it seems the summer of '07 has passed us by, and quickly at that. All the best in the "new year" with all of your business endeavors. But while you are working remember what the great Warren Zevon once said when David Letterman asked him for any advice he could give everyone while he was facing his imminent death...Warren said "Enjoy every sandwich!"
Hard to believe that it's been 4 years since we lost one of our era's most talented singer/songwriters, Mr. Bad Example, the Excitable Boy - Mr. Warren Zevon. If you are a music fan and/or a fan of Warren's music you have to pick up the new book "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" written by his friends and Crystal Zevon, Warren's ex-wife. Great insight into this man's genius. Don't take my word for it, Steven King and Bob Dylan both admired his writing, so that should say something about Warren and his genius.
"Ah ooooooooh" |
