| Time Flies When You're Havin' Fun |

It was only 3 years ago today that I was bringing my wife to the hospital not knowing it would be another 27 hours before our little bundle of joy would arrive. Well, tomorrow he's going to be three, yikes! Holy cow, where did all that time go? I can only imagine how it will feel when he's 16 or 21 or....40??
I guess that's life...you blink and it's gone. So, we have to enjoy it while we are here. We have to stop and smell the roses. Man, it's funny how all of those old cliche's that I once attributed to the "old folks" are now falling off my tongue fast and furious. Guess I made it to the "old folks" club. Todd Snider once wrote "sometimes I feel like I'm getting wiser,other times I feel like I'm getting old". I'd like to think it's the former. But who knows. All I know is that my son is 3 and DANIMA will be 10 in the Spring of '08. Time flies when you're havin' fun!
That's right DANIMA will be a decade old. From 3 guys sippin' on a cold Waterloo Dark on my old deck to the current DANIMA that is growing and hopefully getting wiser, not just older. |

So, I mentioned stopping and smelling the roses...I guess that's been the one thing Nick and I have learned in our 9 1/2 year history...to enjoy our kids...to spend time with them even though we are swamped with work and work issues. The work will be there tomorrow...but you can't remake memories. So, feelin' a little like "Preacher Dave" today, I encourage anyone who has their own business to make sure you don't get lost in it. All year round, but especially during the summer months. Enjoy! Have a bevarage or two on the deck (maybe a Niagara's Best Blonde - that was a plug for Lou), take the kids to Zooz or Marineland or to the beach. Whatever!
Well, here ends my sermon...now back to work. I hope everyone is enjoying this glorious weather...it's suppose to be 95 today!!! Stay cool. |
