| Shredding The Documents |

"I'm shredding the documents. I'm keeping my mouth shut" penned John Hiatt back in the summer of '97. Oh John...I get it..I finally get it :)
The beginning of March ended a very long 2 months of hard work and staffing changes here at DANIMA. Yes, they are correct when they say "what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". At least we hope!
The Niagara Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (held on Feb. 23, 2007 at the Sheraton Fallsview in Niagara Falls) is now behind us - with much success. In previous years, DANIMA's provision of Multi-Media and Sound to the NEYA Awards has usually consisted of about 8 weeks of intense focus prior to the show - leaving other clients waiting for project completion. Well, it seems we are getting good at this because it was only about 2 weeks of intensity and the rest just sort of happened...and it all went off without a hitch. Kudos to the DANIMA team and much thanks to Cogeco's Jack Custers and Mark/Rich of TelAv for their help.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...JR and Bobby...I mean Nick and Dave were going through big changes with the business. But change is good...well...let's just say it provides you with a few lessons and a new perspective. I want to be really bitter and say things that might get me in a bit of trouble...but really, I think the changes and the hiccup in services was a required growing pain. DANIMA now has increased our staff which we know will assist us in meeting the needs of our clients and increase our productivity. To those clients that were effected by the "hiccup" in our services we are deeply sorry but want you to know that we will be getting your projects completed. That's a promise.
As for the John Hiatt quote, I'm definitely "Shredding the documents" and "keeping my mouth shut". It's time to start fresh. Hold no grudges and keep a positive outlook. We weathered a bit of a storm and came out with just a few minor scrapes and bruises. With all the work ahead...the DANIMA future looks bright...and that's a good thing for all of our clients. |

When all is said and done, January and February of 2007 will be marked as a watershed in DANIMA's business. A time of growth, a time of focus, and a time of maturity.
Oh, I'll quote one moreof my favorite singers, Southside Johnny, who sings "I can learn to forgive, but I will never forget it". Yes, we move forward with a bright new perspective, but never do you forget the lessons of the past! |
