| Happy Thanksgiving Big Brother |

Man, a lot happens in November, eh? I've got a new niece as of Monday (little Gia), our good friends Phil and Carla had a baby on the same day (Mathew Francis) and our Big Brother from the south celebrates my favorite U.S. holiday - Thanksgiving. As a border-town guy and having family right across the border, we always celebrated this holiday. And, of course, there's this NFL team from Texas that plays every year that I've been a huge fan of since about '75!
So, tonight I make my five-alarm chili and tomorrow around 3:30 pm I will be sitting in my brothers basement with a cool-one in my hand hoping the Cowboys can beat my little brother's Broncos. It also gives us Canadians another opportunity to look at all we have to be thankful for. Sure, we should do it every day...but sometimes we need a 'day' to get us down to business.
Speaking of business, we all know that business has it's ups and downs (much like life) and we tend to get caught up more with the downs (trust me...they eat away at me). So, from every-once-in-a-while we have to look at all the good things that come out of our business. As a business owner, just gettting up everyday and coming to the office is something I'm damn thankful for (ending with a preposition again). Nick and I have great staff, great friends and some great clients. Just recently we launched the new Boys and Girls Club of Niagara site and in a 2 lines at the bottom of their project coordinator's email to me I was made to feel this is all worth it. Her words of praise and encouragement make all the other stuff that goes on from day-to-day seem minimal. It's nice to hear good stuff from time-to-time and it's the little things we need to hang our hats on! We all have things to be thankful for...we just need to search a bit sometimes. |

So, enough rambling...lots of work to do here! Sites to finish, projects to complete and fires to put out.
Happy Turkey Day U.S. friends. And to our Southern Ontario friends...be safe in this snowy weather.
Ciao for now, |
