| Getting a "round tuit" |

When I was a kid my grandfather had a lot of corny wooden signs in his rec-room like "We don't swim in your toilet, please don't pee in our pool." One of the ones that I never got as a young kid but finally caught on to as I grew up was something that hung on the wall just inside the door. It was a "Tuit". It was a round piece of wood that had TUIT in big bold letters. Underneath it, it said "I finally got a round TUIT". Get it...finally got around to it!! Well, maybe it's only funny to procrastinators and those too busy to seem to get around to doing so many of the little things!
For example, we've been running ragged at the DANIMA office, completing 5 sites in 5 weeks, working on a few really big projects (mums the word), finally getting our books in order, heading up to Toronto and to Peterborough to go over 2 new exciting projects, manning a booth at the Annual Smart Show in Niagara Falls, and so much more! Needless to say, I've been too busy to get around to doing our blog and/or sending out our next newsletter (I know, I sing that song all the time). So, I'm finally getting a "round tuit".
Wow, that was a long way to go for a chuckle (that's assuming anyone actually chuckled). But I do wish I had that old Tuit that hung on Bumpa's wall. It would look great at the office and it would remind me that life and work get busy, but eventually we get "arount to it". Whatever IT may be.
Like that darn shed in the back. I finally got around to cleaning it out, which let me finally get around to packing up the yard and the patio furniture. Like that laundry room that I finally got around to tiling a week ago. Oh, but when I'm doing those things then I'm not doing any DANIMA work on the weekend, like the new DANIMA site, the DANIMA admin area, the blogs, newsletters, the new Niagara Directory and all the other line items in my "to-do" list.
But that's okay, I'll do what I always do...I'll just stay up late and finally get a round to it....at least one of the above!! |
