| That Time of the Year Again! |

Well, it's that time of the year again. Autumn! The leaves change colors, the nights are longer and once again, the Red Sox begin their quest for the World Series. Those of you who know me know that this is as big as a new Springsteen tour...maybe bigger. This is a passion that has it's roots in my childhood and now I have a little guy to pass this crazy passion on to.
In the past, I used to have to skip class or find some excuse to give my employer to get out of work early to go watch the game. Well, now I'm the employer, and other than telling Nick (who is a big sports fan and understands), I have no stress when I leave today...just have to go to daycare and pick up my good luck charm (who is dressed in his Red Sox stuff today) and head home to catch the opening pitch of what will hopefully be an entertaining and successful run for another World Series.
Has anyone seen the movie Fever Pitch? I've got that feeling today. But for the first time since I was born the anxiety of finally winning the World Series is gone. We did that last year. This year the Sox can revel in the fact that they ARE the champs and we're just defending now.
So, to all you Yankee, Angel and White Sox fans...good luck. But remember we got one thing you don't have - my son, the bambino who broke the curse of the bambino and currently the President of the Red Sox Nation, Niagara Falls Chapter!!
