Well, after having the office closed for 2 weeks while I visited family in Italy, it's great to be back here at DANIMA and back on Canadian soil. It's nice to go away, but it's great to be home!
Man, it's funny how we take things for granted, though. At home I'm connected 24/7. At work I'm connect 24/7. But when you are in a small village in Benevento Italy or on the beach in Calabria...Internet connectivity is not a high priority. In fact, I think it falls below grass cutting and picking up garbage (which they don't seem to do much of). However, when it comes to cellular connectivity, these folks are whacky. I've never seen so many cell phones and so many people with cellphone mania. At one family dinner, the hutch near the dining room table had about 14 cell phones. And then when they all start ringing....fuhgettaboutit!
All in all, good food, good wine, great family. But darn glad to be back at work.
To all of our clients, we aplogize for the limited service over the past 2 weeks. I had hoped to have more "connectivity" but was like a bird in a cage and was only on-line for an hour or two the entire trip.
But we are back on the boards and ready for a busy and successful Fall. |
