As I sit here up in my perch at the DANIMA Headquarters at 6 am listening to the new Bruce Springsteen CD at a loud enough volume to shake the monitor in front of me, the lyrics from the title track "Working On A Dream" made me want to open up the DANIMA Admin and write about the dream we're working on, right here at DANIMA.
Wow, that was a run-on sentence. I hope I'm not being marked on this...between spelling, grammar and sentence structure I'd get my ass kicked. Anyways, where was I...I digress. Oh yeah...not that I need The Boss to provide inspiration...but he helps. And with this new, upbeat, uplifting, poppy album...it's easy to get lost in the inspiration. And maybe it was a coincidence that the release of this new masterpiece by Mr. Springsteen and his new tour dates (oh, not to mention his performance at Super Bowl 43 this Sunday) coincided with a great week here at the DANIMA Headquarters? Maybe. But it does seem that this week found the DANIMA team turning a corner and opening a new chapter in the continuing DANIMA saga. With the latest hire of Paula Porco to manage the front office allowing the lovely and talented Leigh-Ann to move into Project Management, as well as, design and the new partnership with Marky Mark our new sales strategist...oh and our new programmer, the young Mr. Mike Mottola...DANIMA is getting ready for 3 of the largest contracts in our 10 year history. 2 out of 3 of them are done deals, but one still requires some more planning, a big presentation...but it's ours to lose..and this my friend could be the TSN turning point here at DANIMA. For better or worse. When they show the highlights in 10 years on Sports Centre, this will be "that" TSN turning point. Exciting, scary, but definitely the perfect time.
So, with inspiration for Mr. Springsteen blaring out my lovely Dell speakers (better system than I have at home) I'm going back to building this presentation and "working on" the DANIMA dream (corny...but true). The funny thing is, as our great new Sales Strategist, Mark, pointed out...it's all here it's just a matter of presenting it in a way that they see what we know. Make sense?
Either way, welcome aboard Mark, Paula and Mike. Fingers crossed, toes crossed, a few prayers to the Big Man (no not Clarence Clemons)...here's hopin'. I'll keep you posted.
Until then,do yourself a favour ...go pick up the new Bruce Springsteen album "Working on a Dream". No, he doesn't need my help selling CD's. He made $70 Million last year on tour - so, he's doing okay with out me...but if you love great music...this one is fun and lighthearted...but some of the best work by Bruce and the E Street Band ever. And you need to have it in your collection. Man, the guy is 59 and getting better...makes me feel like I could do this forever...lol!
...oh and go Cards (for Nils)!! |
